    Your TAX, BUSINESS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 339, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 15, before "PROVIDING", insert:

 

"REORGANIZING ACCORDING TO SUBJECT MATTER THE PROHIBITED DISCRIMINATORY ACTS PROVIDED IN THE HUMAN RIGHTS ACT IN SECTIONS 28-1-7 AND 28-1-7.1 NMSA 1978 (BEING LAWS 1969, CHAPTER 196, SECTION 7 AND LAWS 2003, CHAPTER 231, SECTION 1, AS AMENDED) AND IN A NEW SECTION 28-1-7.3 NMSA 1978;".

    2. On page 1, line 17, after "HOUSING", insert "ACCOMMODATIONS AND PUBLIC ACCOMMODATIONS".

    3. On page 18, line 11, after "state", strike the line up to "shall" and strike the colon.

    4. On page 18, line 12, strike the paragraph designation "(1)".

    5. On page 18, line 20, strike "; or" and insert in lieu thereof a period.

    6. On page 18, line 21, strike the paragraph designation "(2)" and insert in lieu thereof:

         "B. It is an unlawful discriminatory practice for a government entity or public contractor to".

    7. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.

    8. On page 20, line 21, after "housing", insert "accommodation".

    9. On page 23, line 23, strike "military status,".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
